Explanation:

Average of A

=(9500+10500+9800+10000+10200)/5

=50000/5

=10000

Average of B

=(500+500+500+500+4800)/5

=6800/5

=1360

Average of A=10000

Average of B=1360

Average of B can't be 10000.

Hopefully I think this will help you!!!

Average can be calculated by finding sum of all observations divided by total number of observations.

i) Average of A:

Sum of all observation = 9500 + 10500 + 9800 + 10000 + 10200 = 50000

No of observation = 5

Average = 135500 ÷ 5 = 10000

ii) Average of B:

sum of all observation = 500 + 500 + 500 + 500 + 4800 = 6800

No of observation = 5

Average = 6800 ÷ 5 = 1360

These are the correct answers.

For A the given answer is correct, But it is not correct for B

Hope this answer helps.
