Answer:

Q.3.

Euclid's division algorithm is a = bq + r.

134791 = 6341 × 21 + 1630

6341 = 1630 × 3 + 1451

1630 = 1451 × 1 + 179

1451 = 179 × 8 + 19

179 = 19 × 9 + 8

19 = 8 × 2 + 3

8 = 3 × 2 + 2

3 = 2 × 1 + 1

2 = 1 × 1 + 0

So, The HCF of 134791, 6341, 6339 is 1.

Note : If it is a MCQ type question u can easily see the difference of 6341 and 6339 is 2. And since both of the numbers are odd we can easily conclude that the HCF is 1.

Q.4.

HCF of 396 and 342.

396 = 342 × 1 + 54

342 = 54 × 6 + 18

54 = 18 × 3 + 0

Therefore, the no. of pieces he should put in each box so that the no. of boxes are the least is 18 pieces.
