Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In triangle BCD.

BD^2 = BC^2 + CD^2

BD^2 = 122 + 52

BD^2 = 144 + 25

BD^2 = 169

BD = under root  169.

BD = 13m.

S of triangle = 12+13+5/2 = 15

Area of triangle BCD =   under root s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c).

    =    under root 15(15-12)(15-13)(15-5)

    =     under root 15*3*2*10

    =     under root 3*5*3*2*2*5

    = 3*5*2

    = 30 m^2.

In triangle ABD.

S of triangle ABD = 9+8+13/2 = 15.

Area of triangle ABD =  under root s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c).

   =   under root 15(15-9)(15-8)(15-13)

   =  under root 15 *6*7*2

   =   under root 3*5*2*3*7*2

   = 3*2  under root 7*5

   = 6 under root 35 m^2.

Area of the park = area of triangle BCD + area of triangle ABD.

  = 30 m + 6 under root 35 m.

  = 36 under root 35 m^2.
