Proof : 1 = 2

BGC+BCG = ECD+EDC

and BCG = ECD (vertically opposite angle)

therefore, BGC = EDC. ...(1)

Now,. BGC = EDC (from 1)

BCG = ECD (VOA)

BC = EC (given)

therefore, ∆GCB congruent to ∆ DCE (by AAS)

(2):- CGB = CDE (by cpct)
