Please answer correctly do not predict
Since three months, this area had been devoid of any rain.
(Is this sentence grammatically correct if no then correct the mistakes)

The statement is wrong. The correct one goes like:

This area has been devoid of any rain for three months.

Now to explain, Since is used when we say about the starting time of an occurrence. For eg, It has been raining since Monday, She has been sleeping since 5 o clock, etc

On the other hand, for is used when we talk about the duration of an occurrence. For eg, It has been raining for three days,she has been sleeping for five hours, etc
