Area of trapezium =h (a+b)/2
850×2=17(64+b)

1700=17(64+b)
100=64+b
100-64=b
36=b

Other side is 36....

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the parallel side = 64 cm.

Let the length of the other parallel side  = x cm.

Distance between two parallel sides = 17 cm.

By data,

Area of the given trapezium = 850 sq cm.

Area of trapezium = 1/2 x h x (a+b)

850 = 1/2 × 17 × (64 + x)

850 × 2 = 17 × (64 + x)

1700 = 1088 + 17x

17x = 1700 - 1088

17x = 612

x = 612/17

x = 36

∴ The length of the parallel side is = 36 cm.
