Concept used :

L-Hospital's Rule;

Let f(x) and g(x) be any two function of x such that , f(a) = g(a) = 0, then;

lim(x->a) f(x)/g(x) = lim(x->a) f'(x)/g'(x).

Note:

i) Before applying L-Hospital's rule at any stage make sure that the form is 0/0.

ii) While applying L-Hospital's rule we cannot differentiate f(x)/g(x) as a function. The numerator and the denominator must be differentiated separately.

iii) There are seven indeterminate forms;

  • 0/0
  • ∞/∞
  • 0×∞
  • 1^∞
  • ∞^0
  • 0^0
  • ∞ - ∞
