\huge\mathcal{Question}

i \:  \: think \:  \: in \: your \: question \:  \: something \:  \: is \:  \: missing \:  \:

So, let me complete it ....

(x +  \frac{1}{x} ) = 2 +  \sqrt{3} \\ find \:  \:  {x}^{2}  +   \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }

use \: this \: linear \: propert y

 {(a + b)}^{2}  =  {a}^{2} +  {b}^{2}   + 2ab

\huge\mathcal\blue{AnsWeR}

 {(x +  \frac{1}{x} }^{2} ) \\  =  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }  \\  + 2 \times x \times  \frac{1}{x}

(2 +  \sqrt{3} )  \\ =  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }  + 2

as \: opposite \:  \\ signs \: are \: cancelled \\  \: so \:  + 2 \: and \:  - 2 \: \\  will  \\ \: get \: cancelled \:

 \sqrt{3}  =  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }

Here is your answer....

Hope it helps....
