firstly,make a ||gm say ABCD,and join the AC(diagonal)
now we get triangleABC,
as we know that area of parallelogram ABCD=b×h (1)
also we know that a diagonal divides a triangle in two triangles of equal area,area of triangle ABC=1/2 area of parallelogram ABCD
substituting the value of equation (1) here we get,
area of triangle ABC=1/2×(bh)
hence,we proved that area of a triangle area=1/2×b×h.
