Area of ∆ ABC = 1/2 x b x c ______(1)

Area of ∆ ABC = 1/2 x BC x AD ____(2)

⏺️Equating (1) and (2)

1/2 x b x c = 1/2 x BC x AD

==> bc = BC x AD

==> AD = bc / BC

⏺️Putting the value of BC.
