ANSWER ➡️

AD =  \frac{bc}{ \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  -  {c}^{2} } }

EXPLANATION➡️

⏺️BC = √ ( b² + c² ) ; [ By Pythagoras theorem ]

Area of ∆ ABC = 1/2 x b x c ______(1)

Area of ∆ ABC = 1/2 x BC x AD ____(2)

⏺️Equating (1) and (2)

1/2 x b x c = 1/2 x BC x AD

==> bc = BC x AD

==> AD = bc / BC

⏺️Putting the value of BC.

 =  =  > AD =  \frac{bc}{ \sqrt{ {b}^{2} +  {c}^{2}  } }
