Step-by-step explanation:

sum Linear pairs of angles is 180°

therefore,

(i) (6x-40)° + (5x+9)° + (3x + 15)° =180°

(6x+5x+3x) +(-40+9+15) = 180°

(14x) + (-16) = 180

x = (180+16)/14

x = 14

thus, the angles are

6(14)-40 = 44°

5(14)+9 = 79°

3(14)+15 = 57°

(ii) Here the sum of angles is 360°

therefore,

(2y+10)° + 50° + 40° + 130° = 360°

(2y+10)° + 220° = 360°

2y+10. = 360° - 220°

2y +10 = 140°

thus, the angles are

2y+10 = 140°

50°, 40° and 130°.
