Answer:1.The liver digests food by producing bile to break down fats, removing toxins and breaking down and storing some vitamins and minerals. The pancreas produces enzymes to help break down proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

2.

The muscular tube that stretches from the lower end of the stomach to the anus is called intestine. It is also known as the bowel or bowels. Further, the intestine is divided into the small intestine and large intestine. Although both these intestines are interconnected, they can be differentiated in many ways. In this article, we discuss about the difference between the small intestine and large intestine.

3.As humans, we have two sets of teeth that erupt during our lifetime – the first set is called as milk teeth, primary teeth or baby teeth and they start erupting when we are 6 months old and the next set of teeth, called permanent teeth, begin erupting as we turn 6 years old.

4.Physical digestion takes place in the mouth and stomach and enzymatic digestion takes place in the mouth, stomach, and intestines in mammals. Absorption is the incorporation of digested food material into the bloodstream. It takes place in the ileum, a section of the small intestine.

Explanation:

1.Liver- The liver is an organ only found in vertebrates which detoxifies various metabolites, synthesizes proteins and produces biochemicals necessary for digestion and growth. In humans, it is located in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen, below the diaphragm.

Pancreas- The pancreas is an organ located in the abdomen. It plays an essential role in converting the food we eat into fuel for the body's cells. The pancreas has two main functions: an exocrine function that helps in digestion and an endocrine function that regulates blood sugar.

2. Small Intestine- The small intestine or small bowel is an organ in the gastrointestinal tract where most of the end absorption of nutrients and minerals from food takes place. It lies between the stomach and large intestine, and receives bile and pancreatic juice through the pancreatic duct to aid in digestion.

Large intestine- The large intestine, also known as the large bowel, is the last part of the gastrointestinal tract and of the digestive system in vertebrates. Water is absorbed here and the remaining waste material is stored as feces before being removed by defecation.

3. Milk teeth- Deciduous teeth – commonly known as baby teeth, milk teeth, temporary teeth, and primary teeth – are the first set of teeth in the growth development of humans and other diphyodont mammals. They develop during the embryonic stage of development and erupt (that is, they become visible in the mouth) during infancy.

Permenant teeth- Adult teeth or permanent teeth replace the primary teeth. They aid in digestion, speech and general appearance. There are 32 permanent teeth, with the main difference from primary teeth is that there are 4 premolars and 6 molars in each arch. Permanent teeth begin erupting at 6yrs of age and end at 21yrs of age.

4. Digestion- Digestion is the breakdown of large insoluble food molecules into small water-soluble food molecules so that they can be absorbed into the watery blood plasma. In certain organisms, these smaller substances are absorbed through the small intestine into the blood stream

Absorption- The process through which the end products of digestion are absorbed into the blood or lymph from the intestinal mucosa is called as Absorption. This process occurs either by the passive, active or facilitated transport mechanisms in the body. The small intestine is the organ where absorption occurs.
