No. of shirts the shopkeeper bought = 50

He bought 50 shirts for = ₹200

Cost of each shirt = 200/50

= ₹40

Shopkeeper sold 30 shirts for = ₹230

He gained on 30 shirts = ₹30

No. of shirts left to sell = 50 - 30 → 20

He wanna gain = 1000

He had to gain now = 1000 - 30 → 930

More money should be added to 20 shirts to gain ₹930 =

→ ₹ [ (930 ÷ 20) + 40 ]

→ ₹ [ 46.5 + 40 ]

→ ₹ 86.5
