Ler radius of sphere be r cm and radius of cylinder be R cm.

From the question , we have

r cm =9 cm

R cm = 18 cm

Consider the water level rose be H cm.

Now,

Volume of sphere = 4/3 π r3 cubic units

= 4/3 π× 9× 9× 9 cubic units .

Volume of cylinder = π ×18×18× H cubic cm
.
From Archimedes principle we get

4/3 π 9×9×9 = π ×18×18×H.
→ H = 3.
Thus, level of height increased = 3cm

Volume of sphere = 972π cm3
