Given : \frac{3 + \sqrt{7} }{3 - \sqrt{7} }

On rationalizing, we get

 \frac{(3 + \sqrt{7})(3 + \sqrt{7}) }{(3 - \sqrt{7})(3 + \sqrt{7} ) }

 \frac{(3 + \sqrt{7})^2 }{3^2 - ( \sqrt{7})^2 }

\frac{9 + 7 + 6 \sqrt{7} }{9 - 7}

 \frac{16 + 6 \sqrt{7} }{2}

8 + 3 \sqrt{7}

It is in the form of a + b \sqrt{7}

Where a = 8, b = 3.

Therefore the value of a = 8 and b = 3.

Hope this helps!
