• Distance time graph of journey of Bhaskar from home to ground
• Distance is given in 'm'
• Time is given in minutes

ANSWER :

(a) Rest

• Graph between point B and C , indicates that Bhaskar was at rest during that period.
• Because At B he's at 150m and at C he's still at 150m .
• This gives distance = 0

(b) Non-uniform motion

• Uniform motion, is that motion in which body cover equal distance in equal interval of time
• In distance time graph, uniform motion is shown by straight line
• In above graph , distance time graph for 0-4minutes is not a straight line.
• It was straight till point A then it bent. This means it's a Non-uniform motion

(c) 18.75 m/minutes

We can find speed through distance time graph, by finding slope of graph at desired point. { or by finding distance traveled between 2 point and dividing that by time Taken }

• Distance traveled between 8min to 12 minutes = D - C = 225m - 150m = 75m
• Time taken = 12min - 8min = 4 min

Speed = 75m ÷ 4minutes

Speed = 18.75 m/minutes
