There are three types of ocean movements waves, tides, and currents.
- Waves: When the water on the surface of the ocean rises and falls alternately, they are called waves.
- Tides: It is rhythmic rise and fall of oceans twice in a day. When water covers much of the shore by rising high is called high tide, and vice versa called low tide.
- Currents: They flow constantly on the ocean surface in one direction.
- Tides are helpful for fishermen as during high tide many fish come closer to the shore and enable them to catch the fishes.
