RohitSaketi: your question contains two questions rectangle and square know...i did Not see properly....i solved that question also..i m trying to send but im not getting'edit' option.(strange)
kjayalakshmi97pa3l9e: it's ok dear thanks a lotttt.....!!!
RohitSaketi: fourth vertex is (-2,-3) ,area of square is 25 ..
kjayalakshmi97pa3l9e: tqq
RohitSaketi: its simple...plot a,b,d points on graph just like rectangle sum...and now draw a line from points b and c...the point of intersection of extended lines from both b and d....u can see on graph , that the point is (-2,-3)....so C(-2,-3)...... all the sides of a square are equal...so if we find one side wecan find area..because area = side^2.... to find the side using the four vertices is so simple..select any two vertices out of four and find the distance between them using formula
RohitSaketi: root over (x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2...( you can take any two vertices..why because its a square length will be equal....so i ll take A,D .. distance between them is root over (3-3)^2+(-3-2)^2 = root over 25= 5...so length of a side of square is 5...area will be s^2...so 5^2=25.....thats it... you're welcome...all very best..cheers!
