Solution :-

Length = 15 m
Breadth = 12 m
Height = 4 m

Area of the four wall = 2H(L + B)

⇒ 2*4(15 + 12)

⇒ 8*27

⇒ 216 m²

Area of 1 window = 2 m × 1.5 m

= 3 sq m

Area of 4 windows = 3*4

= 12 sq m

Area of 1 door = 1.5 m × 2.5 m

= 3.75 sq m

Area of 2 doors = 3.75*2

= 7.50 sq m

Area to be whitewashed = Area of the four walls - (Area of 4 windows + Area of 2 doors)

⇒ 216 - (12 + 7.5)

216 - 19.5

= 196.5 sq m

Cost of whitewashing = Rs. 5 per sq m

Total cost of whitewashing of four walls = 196.5 × 5

= Rs. 982.5

Area of ceiling = L × B = 15 m × 12 m

= 180 sq m

Total cost of whitewashing the ceiling = 180 × 5

= Rs. 900

Total cost of whitewashing four walls and ceiling = Rs. 982,5 + Rs. 900

= Rs. 1882.5
