so we must divide numerator with Deniminator...so we get like it

Then

 \frac{5}{11}  \times 3  =  \frac{15}{33}

We have to multiply 1 (both) by 4/33 In order to make the denominator 33 because lcm was 33

same in 5/11 we have to multiply 3 with both 5 and 11
