Option C is not a correct statement. because:

  • Beilstein test is used for the detection of Halogens present in any compound.
  • Though we get a positive response for urea and thiourea during The Beilstein test,
  • It is not appropriate to choose this test as the compounds used do not contain which is actually a wrong interpretation.
  • Though the test holds good for urea and thiourea since it has no halogens we cannot identify to which halogen group it belongs to.
  • In some cases, we may get wrong interference too.
