Find the value of k so that the function f(X)= { 2^(X+2) -16/4^(X) -2 , if X not equal to 2 and k , if X equal to 2. is continuous at X.

As the function is continuous the badly of the first part of the function will be equal to 'k' as it nears 2.

Therefore equate 'k' and the first part of the function.

2^(x+2)-16/4^(x)-2 = k

put x=2

Therefore, after solving

k=0
