(i) x^{2} -5x +6=0

Step 1: Factor left side of the equation.

(x − 2) (x − 3) = 0

Step 2: Set factors equal to 0.

x − 2 = 0 or x − 3 = 0

∴ x = 2 or x = 3

(ii) 2x^{2} -7x+6=0

Step 1: Factor left side of the equation.

(2x − 3) (x − 2) = 0

Step 2: Set factors equal to 0.

2x − 3 = 0 or x − 2 = 0

∴ x = \frac{3}{2} or x = 2

(iii) 3x^{2} -2x-5=0

Step 1: Factor left side of the equation.

(3x − 5) (x + 1) = 0

Step 2: Set factors equal to 0.

3x − 5 = 0 or x + 1 = 0

∴ x = \frac{5}{3} or x = (-1)
