1.Due to MSP most farmers are shifting to crops which are given MSPs by the 
government this process disturbs the cropping pattern of the country and further affects the fertility of soil.
2.MSPs results in stagnation in technological development and innovation as the farmers are secure they are reluctant to go for upgrades.
3.Rising MSPs has lead to overproduction of wheat and rice in India and crops likes pulses and oilseeds are exported ,making country dependent on imports.
