Answer:

both the bodies will meet at 12 seconds

solution:

as the initial velocity at which the body A

and B projected are same and also position pf meeting will also be same so Ha = Hb

the height covered by the projecting body

H=ut-1/2 gt2

the time taken to reach the point H for object A is t

the time taken to reach the point H for object B is (t-4) as the object B is thrown after 4s of throwing A so

Ha=Hb

H=ut-1/2 gt2

= u(t-4) -1/2 g(t-4)2

=ut - 4u-1/2 g(t2-8t+ 16)

=-4u-1/2 gt2 +4gt -8g =0

As u =98 m/s the above equation will become as

(4×98) +(8×9.8)= (4×9.8)

392+78.4=39.2

47.04 =39.2t

t=47.04/39.2

t=12 sec

so it will take 12 seconds from object B to object A

I hope my answer will help you my dear friend
