\dfrac{4}{3}x - x = 1 \dfrac{1}{2}

Solving Left Hand Side,

 \dfrac{4}{3} x - x \\ \\ \\ \dfrac{4x}{3}-x \\\\\\ \dfrac{4x-3x}{3} \\ \\ \\ \dfrac{x}{3}

Solving Right Hand Side,

 1 \dfrac{1}{2} \\ \\ \\ \dfrac{2 + 1}{2} \\\\\\ \dfrac{3}{2}

Comparing Left Hand Side and Right Hand Side,

\dfrac{x}{3} = \dfrac{3}{2}

x = \dfrac{3 \times 3}{2}

x = 9 / 2

Therefore the value of x is 9 / 2

4 / 3 x - x = 1( 1 / 2 )

4x / 3 - x = 3 / 2

( 4x - 3x ) / 3 = 3 / 2

x / 3 = 3 / 2

x = 3 × 3 / 2

x = 9 / 2

therefore the value of x is 9 / 2

For verification :

4 / 3 x - x

( 4 / 3 × 9 / 2 ) - 9 / 2

6 - 9 / 2

12 / 2 - 9 / 2

3 / 2

1 ( 1 / 2 )

Verified.
