The collection of books in libraries vary a lot. Some will have just thousands while others will have lakhs. Given below are some basic collections that are found normally in libraries:
→ Classics
Written by famous authors that are a must read. Abridged and unabridged forms are available.
Example: Emma, Pollyanna, The Old Man and the Sea
→ Adventure
Contains adventures short stories or novels. Specifically classified for both adults and children.
Example: Secret seven by Enid Blyton, The Call of the Wild
→ Crime and Mystery
Contains books related to crime and mysteries.
Example: Books of Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Carolyn Keene etc. fall in the category.
→ Horror
This section is dedicated to stories connected with super-natural beings, after-death etc.
