Pages read in one day = 20
pages read in 6 days = 20 * 6 = 120
Suppose total number of pages in the book are x
According to question in 6 days he completed (3/8) of x
which should be equal to 120
So ( 3/8) x = 120
Let us multiply both sides by (8/3)
x= 120* (8/3)
x= 320 pages total in the book
Number of days to complete the book =
number of pages / number of page read in 1 day
= 320/20
= 16 days
Answer : 320 pages total . it takes 16 days to finish the book .
