Answer:

Given :-

  • Ratio of radius of two cylinder = 1:2
  • Ratio of their height = 4:1

To Find :-

Ratio of their volume

Solution :-

Let the volume of two cylinders be V and V'.

Let the ratio of radii be 1x and 2x

Let the ratio of heights be 4x and 1x

Now,

Volume of Cylinder 1

V₁ = π × (r)² × 4h

V₁ = 4πr²h. --(1)

Volume of cylinder 2

V₂ = π × (2r)² × h

V₂ = 4πr²h. --(2)

Let's divide them

V₁ / V = 4πr²h/4πr²h

V₁ /V₂ = 4/4

V₁ / V₂ = 1/1

V₁ : V₂ = 1 : 1

Hence :-
