Q6. A train starting from rest attains a velocity of 72 km/hr in 5 minutes.Assuming

that the acceleration is uniform. find:

a) The acceleration

b) The distance travelled by the train.​

u = 0

v = 72*5/18 = 20 m/s

t = 5*60 = 300s

A) a = (v-u)/t = 20/300 = 0.067 m/s^2

B) $v^{2} -u^2=2as$

s = $\frac{(v^2-u^2)}{2a}$

= 400*15 = 6000m = 6km
