Answer:

1) 2.24 cm²

2) 4.48 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

1) area of right angle triangle = (a+b)/2

So, (1.6+2.8)/2 = 2.24 cm²

2) According to Pythagoras theorem, a²+b²=c²

1.6²+2.8²= c²

20.0704 = c²

c = ✓20.0704

AC = 4.48 cm

Solution :-

AB = 1.6cm

BC = 2.8cm

AB = prependicular

BC = Base

AC = Hypotenuse

A.T.Q.

Area = \frac{1}{2} \times Base \times Height

Substituting the value,

Area = \frac{1}{2} \times 2.8cm \times 1.6cm

Area = \frac{1}{\cancel{2}} \times {\cancel{2.8}} \times Height

Area =  1 \times 1.4 \times 1.6

\huge{\boxed{\purple{Area\:=\:2.24\:cm}}}

Hypotenuse :-

Since it is a right angled triangle,

∴ (AC)² = (AB)² + (BC)²

Substituting the value,

(AC)² = (1.6)² + (2.8)²

(AC)² = 2.56 + 7.84

(AC)² = 10.4

AC = \sqrt{10.4}cm

\huge{\boxed{\orange{AC\:=\:3.22\:cm\:(approx)}}}

Hope it helps..........
