We know

G = G \frac{mM}{ {r}^{2} }  \\ mg = G \frac{Mm}{ {r}^{2} }  \\ g = G\frac{M}{ {r}^{2} }  = 10

Now assume gravitational acceleration new planet is g' .

g' = G\frac{ \frac{M}{5} }{ {( \frac{r}{2}) }^{2} }  =  \frac{4}{5}  \times G \frac{M}{ {r}^{2} }  =  \frac{4}{5}  \times 10 = 8 \:  \frac{m}{ {s}^{2} }
