Dimensions of a room-
length= 6 m
breadth=4 m
height= 3.5 m
Therefore, area of the 4 walls = 2h(l+b)
=2*3.5(6+4)
=7*10= 70m²

Area of the ceiling= l*b
=6*4 = 24m²

So, portion of the room to be white-washed
=(70+24)m²
=94 m²
=9400 dm²

therefore, cost of white washing @ 0.25 per dm²
=Rs.(0.25 * 9400)
=Rs. 2350

Hope this helps..
