Step-by-step explanation:

Let the no. of ₹5 coins be x .

Then we have no. of ₹2 coins as 3x .

Let the no. of ₹1 coins be y .

It is given that x + 3x + y = 160

=> 4x + y = 160

=> y = 160 - 4x                      (i)

Also x ₹5 coins means a value of ₹5x , 3x ₹2 coins means a value of ₹(2 * 3x) = ₹6x , and y ₹1 coins means a value of ₹y .

Hence ₹5x + ₹6x + ₹y = 300 as given

Substituting y from (i) in this equation , we get :-

₹5x + ₹6x + ₹(160 - 4x) = ₹300

=> ₹11x + ₹160 - ₹4x = ₹300

=> ₹7x + ₹160 = ₹300

=> ₹7x = ₹140

=> ₹x = ₹20

Hence ₹y = 160 - 4x = 160 - 80 = ₹80

So no. of ₹2 coins = 3x = 60

No. of ₹1 coins = y = 80

No. of ₹5 coins = x = 20
