Centre of gravity of a body is defined as the place where the whole mass of a particular body acts upon.

In both the case of Centre of gravity and centre of mass, the centre of mass and the centre of gravity are equal as in the case that both the one are acting in the same place. centre of gravity is always perpendicular to the centre of mass of the body.
