(a)  2x- 13 = 3

(b)x -  \frac{1}{5} x = 5

(c) \frac{2}{3} x = 12

1) Let x be the number.

Hence two times of the number is 2x than 13 subtracted from it.

The required equation =2x−13=3

=2x=16

= x=6

so the answer is,

x=6

2) Let the number be y

Thus, one-fifth of the number =

5y

Hence,

5y

=y−5 is the required equation

3) 4×2=8
