Question 5) :- kaira needs to buy some cardboard to build a box 10 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 4 inches high. How much cardboard is needed to build the box ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • In Order to find the Total area of cardboard used we need to find total surface are of cuboid .
  • Total surface area of cuboid = 2(Length * Breadth + Breadth * Height + Height * Length) .

So,

TSA of cardboard = 2(10*7 + 7*4 + 10*4) = 2(70 + 28 + 40) = 2 * 138 = 276 inch².

Hence, 276 inch² cardboard is needed to build the box .
