a. Fertilization is the fusion of male gamete with the female gamete. Once the pollen grains settle on the stigma of the flower they form pollen tube. The pollen tube grows towards the ovary through style. Once the pollen tube reaches the ovary its tip dissolves to release the pollen grain.

b. Mammals have a double circulatory system. This means that during a single cycle, the blood goes twice in the heart. Double circulatory system is important because it ensures provision of oxygenated blood to the muscle and not a mixture of oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood. Hence, this system ensures efficient supply of oxygenated blood to the muscles

Fertilization occurs when one of the sperm cells fuses with the egg inside of an ovule. After fertilization occurs, each ovule developes into seeds.

Ans 2. The human circulatory system has three key components : blood vessels, blood and heart. It is called double circulatory system because the blood passes through the heart twice per circuit.
