Here, The phenomenon is refraction of light in a glass slab.

Here, when light rays from position A enters the glass medium, it's angle of reflection bends towards the normal as glass is a denser medium. When light rays from position M reflects back into the air medium, it's angle of reflection moves away from the normal as air is a rarer medium.


Remember :-

The angle of reflection bends towards the normal when the light rays are in denser medium.

The angle of reflection moves away from the normal when the light rays are in rarer medium.
