Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Intersecting lines

To find :-

Find the values of x ,y and z?

Solution :-

From the given figure,

Two lines are interesting to each other

We know that

Vertically opposite angles are equal.

x = y --------(1)

and

z = 115° -----(2)

and

x and 115° are linear pair

=> x+115°=180°

=> x = 180°-115°

=> x = 65°

Therefore, x = 65°

=> y = 65° (from (1))

Therefore, x = y = 65° ,z = 115°

Answer:-

The measure of x = 65°

The measure of y = 65°

The measure of z = 115°

Used formulae:-

  • If two lines are intersecting to each other then Vertically opposite angles are equal.
  • The sum of two adjacent angles is 180° then they are called Linear Pair.
