1) On Calcinating ACO

ACO₃ -----> AO + CO₂

Using Zn as reducing agent:

AO + Zn ----> A + ZnO

Thus metal A is obtained

2) On roasting BS

2BS + 3O₂ -----> 2BO + 2SO₂

Using Zn as reducing agent:

BO + Zn ----> B + ZnO

Thus metal B is obtained
