Answer:

(a) 108°

(b) Angle C = 54°

    Angle D = 54°

    Angle A = 72°

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) First, take out the sum of all angles of the pentagon

The formula is ( n - 2 ) X 180°                          { n represents the number

                      = ( 5 - 2 ) X 180°                           of sides in a polygon }

                     = 3 X 180°

                     = 540°

For taking out each angle we have to divide it by 5

BECAUSE IT IS A REGULAR PENTAGON ALL THE SIDES ARE EQUAL

                                         ⇒ 540°

                                                5

                                           = 108°

(b) Angle C and D are equal = 54°     { because they are cut into halves }

    Angle A = 180° - ( 54° + 54° )                  { Angle-Sum Property }

                         = 180° - 108°

                              = 72°
