Step-by-step explanation:

6. the general quadratic equation is

 {x}^{2} - x( \alpha + \beta ) + \alpha \beta = 0

where alpha, beta are roots of the equation

7. as alpha is a root

then

f( \alpha ) = 0

8. sum of the roots = -( coeffecient of x)/coefficient of x^2

k/3=3

so k=9

9. same as 6 th question

the equation is

 {x}^{2} + x - 12 = 0

hope this will help u
