Explanation:

5.- A polymer is a substance that has a molecular structure built up mainly from a large number of similar units bonded together. These repeating units represent the monomer that was used for the formation of the polymer. Since there are many different polymers, they can be divided into different groups depending on several parameters. We can divide polymers into two groups depending on the basic structure of polymer: linear polymers and crosslinked polymers. The main difference between linear polymers and crosslinked polymers is that linear polymers are straight chain structures whereas crosslinked polymers are branched structures.

6.- The name Plastic is derived from the Greek word plastikos, which means able to be shaped. Plastic materials consist of long chain molecules (polymers). Available in many colors and in transparent form, plastics can be rubbery or rigid. Plastic shapes include sheet, rod, hex, pipe, cubes, balls, and tubes.

7.(i) no , but put the another clothe on it...

(ii) Teflon is a synthetic material that can be used to cover the surface of certain object and imparts nonstick properties to it. The name ‘Teflon’ is actually a brand name (patented by DuPont) of polytetrafluoroethylene (or PTFE), which is a non-stick chemical substance discovered back in the 1930s during a laboratory experiment.

Now reasons why Teflon is used for Non Stick material:

It is highly inert, meaning that it doesn’t react with other substances easily.

It has a high melting point and shows exceptional electrical properties, which makes it an excellent choice to be used for the wiring of computer and aerospace applications.

Non-stick quality, which is why it’s used in numerous frying pans, pots, and other culinary tools.

The non-stick property of PTFE can be ascribed to its chemical structure.

(iii) Aircraft windows are made a form of plexiglass, such as Lexan polycarbonate, or acrylic plastics. This material is lightweight, relatively strong, and you can see clearly though it. The glass is layered, and the middle layer usually has a tiny hole in it to get rid of condensation.
