                          = 1 ohm
Each branch = 2 ohm
Between A and B = 2*2/(2+2)
                             = 1 ohm

R1 and R2 are in parallel

Equivalent resistance =
1/R= 1/2+1/2 1
R=1
Similarly Equivalent resistance of
R3 and R4 =1
R5 and R6=1
R7 and R8=1

Total resistance across AB
1+1=2 (Series upper two)
Similarly 2 of lower one
These are in parallel
So 1/2+1/2=1/R
Total resistance across AB=1
