let the denominator be x.
Therefore, A/Q,
fraction = (x-6)/x.
Now,
numerator= x-6+3= x-3
new fraction = (x-3)/x= 2/3
therefore, x=9....(after cross multiplication)
hence original fraction =( x-6)/x = 3/9 =1/3
