as we have put iron nail in copper sulphate solution, the high reactive (than copper) metal - iron displaces copper(low reactive) from copper sulphate solution and forms ferrous sulphate solution wherein reddish copper is deposited on iron nail.

CuSO4(blue) + Fe = FeSO4 (green)+ Cu
