Heya mate your answer is
4( \frac{1}{4}x) -   \frac{1}{4}  = 2 \\ =  4 \times  \frac{1}{4} x -  \frac{1}{4}   = 2\\  = x -  \frac{1}{4}  = 2 \\  =  \frac{4x - 1}{4}  = 2 \\  = 4x - 1 = 4 \times 2 \\  = 4x = 8  + 1 \\  = x =  \frac{9}{4}
Hope it helps you!!!!!

4( \frac{1}{4}x) -  \frac{1}{4}  = 2

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x -  \frac{1}{4}  = 2

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \: x = 2 +  \frac{1}{4}

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x =  \frac{8 + 1}{4}

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: x =  \frac{9}{4}
