Both must be given equal importance. One can make professional life and family life happy by not mixing up both the issues. Even if there is financial crisis or any problem related to their profession, the one who is expected to support them is their life partner.
No work should be done by them, he/ she just needs to support the person. The one in crisis should feel that even if there is a problem, there is a person to stand with him. Family life and professional life must be led in a balanced way.
Einstein was successful in professional life. He published several theories and came to be known worldwide but at the same time his personal life was unravelling. His mother didn't wanted him to marry Milieva since she was 3 year older than her son and was a very intelligent pupil like einstein. They had 2 sons but this marriage could last only a few years. Milieva thought that she was losing her intellectual ambition and was becoming an unhappy housewife.
Einstein was trapped in financial crisis. But instead of being with him, his wife disturbed him. This was why he wanted divorce.
