total resistance of the circuit can be calculated by

from ohm's law

                               V=IR

                                R=V/I

                           =10/1=10 ohms

Since lamp and conductor are in series so resistance of lamp =10ohm-5ohm=5ohms

the new resistance in parallel to earlier combination has same value  ,i.e.,10 ohm as the  resistance of series combination . this means the current is distributed in two equal parts. hence 0.5 A current pass through the conductor

hence the new charge passing through 5 ohm conductor

               I=0.5 A

hence the potential difference across the lamp

V=IR=(0.5)10=5 V

hope this helps you
